What is this?

So I never thought I would ever create a blog because I do not like to journal in general so why would I want to share my thoughts and feels with other people? Well I just found out last week that I have the opportunity to go to another country for 6-10 weeks of the summer. I have a few friends going to Uganda though African Inland Missions which is the organization I went to Senegal with this summer. If I were to go with them to Uganda I would be working in an orphanage and 2-3 times a week for a few hours I would help to run a clinic aka put my nursing skills into action. I also would be working with ex-prostitutes teaching them different skills. This sounds like an exciting experience and fun since it would be with some people I already know. However, is the experience that would be best for me to figure out if I could do this long term? When I feel lonely and desperate will I turn to my friends or to God? Will my friends be a distraction or an encouragement? I also have considered going to the Middle East, however, I do not believe there are many countries that are safe enough to send students in the Middle East. I know my family would probably rather have me go to Uganda where I will be with some people I already know and a place that is safer. Decisions decisions..
